Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the wheelie bin cleaning cost?

Wheelie bin cleaning costs depend on several factors, including the size of your bin, the number of bins to be cleaned, and how often you would like them cleaned.

Our starting rate is $14 for one residential bin cleaned every two weeks. For commercial bins please visit our bookings page to learn more and contact us for a custom quote.

2. How do we clean garbage bin smell?

Cleaning the smell from your garbage bin is a gross job, but someone has to do it. Luckily, it doesn’t have to be you.

Wheelie Clean Bins uses a cleaning solution that is specially formulated to clean, disinfect, and deodorise. The solution removes odour causing dirt and bacteria and leaves your bin smelling fresh. It’s also environmentally friendly so your bins and the earth stay clean.

3. What is the cleaning process?

The wheelie bin cleaning process is simple and effective. Our self contained cleaning trucks handle all the dirty work and safely dispose of the mess.

First, bins are scrubbed to get out any remaining debri or dirt, inside and out. Then, they are sprayed with pressurized water for a deep clean. The final step is a thorough spray with our disinfecting and deodorising solution.

All water and cleaning solutions are stored in units on the truck for safe and responsible disposal. We wheel your bins back to their designated spot and head on our way without leaving a trace – except for fresh bins, of course!

4. How to stop maggots in your wheelie bin

Stop maggots in your wheelie bins with thorough regular cleanings from Wheelie Clean Bins. Maggots are attracted to warm, dark spaces with plenty of dirt and old food or garbage for fuel. Smelly bins, in particular, are breeding grounds for maggots and bugs.

The best way to stop this infestation is to keep your bins clean. Without smells to attract them and rotting food to help them grow, maggots won’t be able to survive in your bins. Our cleanings will get dirt and debri out while eliminating odor to keep your bins bug free.

5. Why should I get my wheelie bins cleaned?

There are many reasons why you may choose to get your wheelie bins cleaned. First and foremost are sanitary and hygienic reasons. Dirty bins are magnets for bacteria, bugs, rodents, all things that you don’t want near your house!

You’ll also find that clean bins are just more convenient. When they don’t smell, you won’t mind wheeling them to the curb or walking past them to your car each day. And it’s even better when you don’t have to do this cleaning yourself. Save time, save hassle, and save your nose with Wheelie Clean Bins!
